If you eat my foods, you should lose excess weight. But you are not totally convinced yet that food can change the total course of your health status. You may be a believer that food and weight are closely linked, But I am not sure if you are convinced that food is the key to your total well being.


Food influences more than just your weight. Good food is essential to every aspect of your health. Food is powerful stuff. I can unequivocally tell you that if you eat crappy food, your health will turn to crap. If you eat good food, you will have the best chance of having good health.


My point here is that while losing excess fat is a positive thing, being healthy is far more important to me. When working with clients, I actually focus on their health and not their weight. Balancing of weight is just a by - product of what I do.

My purpose for you and (clients too) is to get you to achieve a level of health beyond your wildest dreams. Please let me illustrate this point with the example of a contributor from my television series, You Are What You Eat. Her name is Carol, 43, a Mother of 3 kids from Manchester.

Carol is an enormous inspiration. Carol had Type 2 diabetes and suffered several of the symptoms that go along with that condition :

Some of her relatives had been diagnosed with the condition too.

Carol’s own father died from diabetic complications; one relative even had feet and legs cut off due to the ravages of the disease. Carol was terrified about her potential fate as she assumed that she would head down the same road. She accepted her diabetes as “just one of these things.” She had no clue that this disease was connected in any way to her food, salt and soda pop intake. She also did not realize that she could possibly get this condition under control through the " Gillian McKeith " Lifestyle.

A diet high in sugar, pastries, cakes, sweets, saturated fat and table salt may lead to weight gain and increase the chance of contracting type 2 diabetes. This is what had happened to Carol. Carol and her two kids went through approximately 1 kilo of table salt a week and so much sugar; it’s a wonder that all her teeth hadn’t fallen out. She was turning herself into a human bowling bowl, albeit a sweet one at that. Carol was a ticking time bomb with a colossal amount of weight coupled with sky - high blood glucose levels. After 5 weeks on the Gillian McKeith Plan of beans, grains, seeds, nuts, legumes, fish, white meats, fruit, vegetables, leafy greens, herbal plants, her blood glucose levels dropped significantly. This meant that her GP was able to actually lower her diabetic medications!

Carol’s glucose levels are now within normal range.

Let’s just think about this whole case for a minute. Here was a situation where the television contributor was convinced that her only route was the path of a devastating fate filled with ill health, medications and potential amputations. Instead, with the simplest changes and most natural approach, we were able to alter her destiny. Carol’s glucose levels are now within normal range. Her GP has taken her off of her medication completely. He has told her to carry on doing what she is doing. She now controls her type 2 diabetes using food and lifestyle choices.
